I popped in Lost Season 3 on Blu-Ray and it’s unreal. Seriously makes it very hard to watch Standard Definition TV. The cool thing is though that even standard def looks awesome. My biggest complaint about my 42″ Samsung DLP was that standard def looked, well horrible. Panasonic apparently has some kind of magic mojo that makes standard def look actually decent. Sure you won’t mistake it for HD but it’s actually watchable now. Can’t wait to just watch stuff on it. Yeah it’s that good.

Lost returns tomorrow. After nearly 8 months off which seems like years. Looking forward to watching it with the family, we are watching the premiere at my parents house with all the various siblings and the following week we are watching it at our place. I know why am I going into detail, who cares, right? Well just want to say that if you haven’t been watching Lost in HD you are missing out. Period. It really is a straight up beautifully filmed in a beautiful location. Sometimes I can almost smell the jungle. Ok maybe that was taking it too far. But it really is a 1,000 times better in HD. So what does this do with my parents house and watching it? They are on Standard Def and it really is like a cheese grater on my eyes. So much so I always re-watch the episode the next day on my HDTV at home. No joke. Do yourself a favor watch Lost in HD and if you need to catch up on past seasons do yourself a favor and pick up Season 3 on Blu-Ray and see Lost in even higher fidelity than broadcast (ABC broadcasts Lost in 720p the Blu-ray version is at 1080p if you have set that can handle the resolution).
