We continue to cling to our faith as a means to find reason and strength to press on. This will be a year of many milestones, Sarah and I both will leave our 20′s behind and my mom will hit the half century mark. Here’s to a year where hope and God’s promise are the beacon that guides us and year to have the blessings outweigh the tragedy.

  • Summer is progressing, Brynn has been loving swimming and spending time with both sets of grandparents!
  • Sarah and I spent a wonderful weekend in Vegas and enjoyed each other’s company immensely!
  • Camping is coming up soon can’t wait to spend a week in the woods!

I had been looking to pick up a new 9mm Glock but seems they are impossible to track down right now. According to the 4 stores I called since the inaugaration sales have been through the roof and most of the more popular guns and calibers are on backorder.  The one store in Burbank that had stock was marking things up nearly 50% so I said forget that! I ended up out at Gunrunners in Duarte and picked up (well paid for won’t get to pick up for 10 days, thanks California!) a Springfield Armory XD-40 sub-compact. Should be a sweet piece. here’s a pic of it:

Heck I’d really like it I had time after work to just explore the valley some and just ride, but alas too much work to do! Maybe I’ll try and make it happen soon just so I can de-romanticize it from my mind. I REALLY need to pick up a new Mac. If Apple would hurry up and release a new Mini, then that would get my purchase, if not might just hold out and pick up a Macbook. The main problem is feature creep. If i just go for the Macbook, then the Macbook Pro is far above that and I know I will kick myself for not just picking it up. Aside from that I just have been missing having a Mac as my main machine terribly. It’s totally messing with how much work I can get done. Look I mean the Vista box I have is ok, and I like my eee PC but it ain’t cutting it aside from note taking, and minor work tasks.
