Combine a new Star Trek movie, podcast, hundreds of self described nerds and geeks and what do you get? Nerdtacular. The event put on by Scott Johnson who runs Extra Life Radio, consisted of the movie Star Trek, a get together at a nearby park and an out-of-towner barbeque at the Johnson house. Macbook Pro Unibody Arrived…. Already going back….
So my new Macbook Pro arrived and I noticed something I hadn’t seen since one of my 15″ Powerbooks…. bizarre screen flicker at low brightness levels. So it’s going back to Amazon pronto….. hopefully the next one doesn’t have the same issue. If it does I’ll just return it and wait until revision B. I really should know better by now. So what’s going on…
Well as expected the year has been busy although January seems like it has been here forever. I have been wanting to be able to ride my Vespa more but it’s just too cold in the morning to take it to work so I am looking forward to temps warming up a little so I can hit the road. Heck I’d really like it I had time after work to just explore the valley some and just ride, but alas too much work to do! Maybe I’ll try and make it happen soon just so I can de-romanticize it from my mind. I REALLY need to pick up a new Mac. If Apple would hurry up and release a new Mini, then that would get my purchase, if not might just hold out and pick up a Macbook. The main problem is feature creep. If i just go for the Macbook, then the Macbook Pro is far above...

So yeah it appears Apple’s upgrade pricing to DRM free would suck the money right out of my wallet! Here’s the grand total if I were to upgrade to DRM free for the tracks I have already purchased: Yeah not going to happen.

So unbeknownst to me my wonderful friends at Time Warner Cable have upgraded my cable modem speed. So we have had a 10 meg connection with 1.5 up. Well now we have this: Hey that my friends is ridiculous. Seriously.
