Weekend Fun

My boss was gracious enough to offer me 4 tickets to Saturday’s Angels vs. Mariners (he was unable to attend) so Aaron, Jen, Sarah and myself all got a chance to head down to Angels Stadium. While I am no stranger to Dodger stadium (heck Sarah and I first met there )this was my first Angels game. I have to say I left really impressed at the experience. There really was a focus on the whole experience and really left me wondering why the Dodgers have stagnated in the hospitality and fun area. I could see taking the whole family to Angels game and having a great time. The Dodgers? Well I would only feel comfortable going in large groups of guys who are able to defend themselves. Yeah definitely a rougher experience there. Am I changing my favorite team? No...

Brynn – Almost 3 weeks Post Op

Well it was a beautiful warm evening at our house when I got home so we decided to play outside. Thought I’d post up a shot of Brynn and how great she’s looking. Each day the swelling goes down a little more, her eyes get a little wider and we get closer to seeing how well the plastic surgeons did in reconstructing her. Our opinion? She’s the most beautiful girl around and quite the character! I am going to post up some video later of her antics….

Post Surgery Update – Plastic Surgeon

Well we met with Dr. Hammoudeh yesterday and things are going well! He had a hard time remembering which side her Cranio was on by looking at her (which is good!) He liked how she was healing. The bummer news which we were prepared for is that she will have to wear a helmet for awhile in attempt to keep her head growing round. Unilateral Coronal Synostosis apparently makes it tougher to keep symmetry. So we’ll be heading to the helmet place in the next week to get her fitted. But non-the-less is Brynn is looking good and the doctor’s are happy with how she is progressing.

The Doctor says….

She looks great. She will have to come back in a month but so far we are looking good! Praise the Lord!

2 Weeks Post Op – Update

Hard to believe just 2 weeks ago we were sitting at CHLA waiting to hear how Brynn was doing and how the surgery went. Today we have her 2 week post op appointment with Dr. Krieger, the Neurosurgeon. Hopefully we hear she is doing as well as we think she is. Anyway I’ll post an update after the appointment. Until then here’s a pic of Brynn today 2 weeks post-op.
