Surgery Update – Success
I’ll post a more complete update in the morning but here’s a quick recap: 6.5 hours in surgery 1 really swollen head Going on 24 hours no sleep Sarah staying w/ Brynn at hospital Successful surgery Thanks to everyone who came and supported us in the hospital all day and into the night. I’ll post more details but now I need to sleep. Praise God for his grace, mercy and hand in our lives.
Tomorrow
So tomorrow is the big day. Brynn’s surgery to treat her Unilateral Coronal Craniosynostosis. Very strange to see her running around loving life today and not have any clue what’s coming. Going to be a long week but one I am sure in which our faith will grow and appreciation of all God has given us will be brought to new levels. She is the greatest gift I have ever received I am so thankful for her. She really is the light of my life. It’s going to be a rough day.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
What a way to start the day… Woke up to an alarm sounding in the office. Turns out a hard drive on my media server died this morning. Great. Mark my words that is THE LAST MAXTOR drive I ever buy. Period. This is like the 4th one I have die on me in 4 years. From now on it’s Seagate drives. Luckily I had the RAID configured so no data was lost. On my way down to PC Club to grab a new drive. Bleck.
New Photos
Been a little behind on loading up pictures…. My apologies! Here’s some new ones from the Zoo last week. I sadly was at work but looks like Sarah, Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Nicole, and Uncle Phillip all had a great time at the zoo! Click here for more pics....
More Surgery Info – Dr. Kreiger
Today we got to meet the neuro surgeon who will be heading up the neuro surgery end of the team for Brynn’s surgery. His name is Dr. Mark Kreiger. I feel much more at ease after meeting with him. FANTASTIC bedside manner (even though we haven’t been into the surgery yet) he just was very straightforward and didn’t talk down to us which I appreciated. Very happy that he is going to be in on the surgery. Next big appointment is Friday for Brynn’s pre-op and various family members donating blood since Brynn will need at least 1 transfusion during the operation. Anyway please continue to pray as we edge closer to the big day…
